Care and inspection of the floor subject to the provision of the Goods and Services

(a) The Supplier will not be held responsible for any debris, dust, flora, fauna, insects, excrement or fibres which may settle into the area subject to the provision of the Goods and/or Services during the Curation Period.

(b) The term dustless grinding refers to a standard practice used in the preparation process. From this process, airborne dust will be created, and the Customer must provide adequate protection to all plant and equipment and the removal of all materials and stock from the immediate area, in particular any food stuffs.

(c) Some systems can yellow and chalk on exposure to UV radiation (sunlight). Indoor areas that receive direct sunlight exposure for some intervals during the day, such as those adjacent to doorways and windows may experience some discolouring if you have chosen a system without a UV resistant sealer. It is the responsibility of the client to review technical datasheets to ensure suitability of product for any given project. The Supplier can advise and assist in product selection.

(d) Whilst the Supplier will take all due care to avoid contamination of the finished surface, the Supplier accepts no responsibility for contamination by natural contaminates such as dust or hair which may be present at the site subject to the provision of the Goods and Services.

(e) For the purposes of inspecting the area for defects, the following applies:

(i) The Australian Standard AS/NZS 2311:2017 specifies the floor must be assessed for defects from 1.5m without glancing or parallel light hitting it. That means any garage door is closed and overhead diffused or Noncritical Light is used to assess;

(ii) The Supplier will thereby only inspect or view the finished floor from a standing position minor marks or slight imperfections in the floor finish that can only be viewed from a crouching or kneeling position are not to be considered defects; and

(iii) No LED lights, flashlights or inspecting along the substrate should be carried out to avoid unrealistic expectations of the flooring.
